Welcome to the April issue of LMI UK Franchise News, giving you further insight into the world of LMI and the partnership opportunity.
To know and not do…
…is to not yet truly know! So said Confucious (apparently!) and, whether it was actually he who originally said it, it’s a great saying. With the proliferation of media channels and AI assistants, it has never been easier to find out information, even to gain knowledge, and yet perhaps never has it been harder to take that knowledge and apply it consistently over time in order to make substantive changes to how we behave.
This is where LMI can help people A LOT. LMI’s unique leadership development is built around a robust process of multi-sensory learning, application, practice, review, feeback and accountability that is unrivalled in its ability to help people make long-term changes to how they think and act.
Central to this approach is helping people to establish lasting habits in how they plan and set goals on a yearly, quarterly, monthly, weekly and daily basis. Sounds fairly basic doesn’t it, but you’d be amazed at how many people have no such system in place for effectively choosing and managing what is most important to them in their work and personal lives. It’s once reason so many get caught up in the ‘Who stole my day?’ tyranny of constant firefighting and urgent situations.

How would you use an extra hour per day?
This was the question posed to visitors at our stand at the South Essex Business Expo at The Brentwood Centre in March. Exhititions and events are a great way to meet people, expand your network and get the word out about what we do. Around 1000 visitors attended the event which had a fantastic atmosphere of entrepreneurship, community spirit and friendly collaboration.
Some great connections were made for future partnerships and potential client work, with a number of bookings being made on the day, and subsequently, to take up the offer of the complimentary place on our Foundations of Success workshop.
The LMI UK banners and exhibition toolkit, as well as members of the team to help on the stand, are available for any of the LMI UK team as they develop their business in their local area.
The Progess Principle
Another key part of the LMI system is the routine, regular recording of Progress and Victories – a success log if you like. This has a tremendous impact on our clients as they develop a more positive mindset, experience greater motivation and more ‘moments of joy’ in their work and life in general. It’s great fun to do and backed by loads of science. Recently Louise Larkum, Director of Mindcare Training, who is currently working through the LMI Effective Personal Leadership programme, shared this insight on the subject on LinkedIn, citing an HBR report:
“Of all the things that can boost emotions, motivation, and perceptions during a workday, the single most important is making progress in meaningful work.” See full post here
Foundations of Success Workshops
In these monthly newsletters we always share a little about these 2-hour online introduction sessions to the ideas and practical tools that LMI have been using for 60+ years to help people become more purposeful, organised and effective. They continue to be the best way for LMI UK team members to develop positive, lasting client relationships.
